In general, proofreading is considered part of the writing process that each student must be responsible for. The Library does not offer any assistance with proofreading, copyediting, or review of papers. However, the research librarians can provide assistance with proper formatting of citations and, to a lesser extent, basic APA style and paper formatting. Style manuals are available at the Research Help Desk for in-library use along with online quick-reference citation guides for popular styles used at Daemen.

While proofreading and copyediting services are generally not available from any Daemen department, the Learning Center provides a variety of free academic support services, such as academic coaching (tutoring) to help improve the writing process. If interested, you can complete a Writing Coaching Request Form. The Learning Center is part of the Student Success Center, not the Library. The Student Success Center is located on the first floor of the Research and Information Commons (RIC).
