Locate Read Online and Download Book links in the database

When you find an eBook in ProQuest, you can access it right in the eBook's detailed record page on the left side. You can either view it in your browser as a PDF or you can download the full text.

Using the Read Online viewer

Clicking the 'Read Online' link on the eBook's detailed record page allows you to view the eBook in your browser.

On the left there is a table of contents that allows you to jump to various parts of the eBook. Above that is a search bar to search the entire the eBook for specific words or phrases. Clicking the star on the left sidebar allows you to save notes and annotations.

At the top there is a bar that gives other useful options such as printing specific pages or establishing a permalink so you can get back to the eBook later.

Using the Download Book option

Clicking on the 'Download Book' option on the book's detailed record page allows you to download the eBook instead of viewing it in your browser. This is useful if you want to be able to access the book while offline.

Select what kind of device you're using and whether it's a personal or public computer.

You will then be prompted to get Adobe Digital Editions Adobe. After doing so, click "Done with this step".

Finally, click Download to begin the download itself.

If you are experiencing any difficulties accessing ProQuest eBooks, please contact a librarian.
