While we are able to fulfill the majority of ILL requests, there are a number of reasons we may not be able to fulfill an ILL request. These reasons include: the lender is not in the United States; the item is in too poor of a condition to ship or scan; the item is checked out already, part of a special collection, or on reserve by the lender; the lender charges a fee for scanning the item; the item is new or rare and not readily available from a lending institution.
